Yet those who join choose a cursed life, destined to one day be driven mad by a secret flaw in Sanguinius’s gene-seed. Afflicted by the unshakeable craving known as the “Red Thirst”, Brothers are haunted by endless nightmarish visions of their Primarch’s betrayal and murder at the hands of the Mad Warmaster. Despite these trials, the Blood Angels have kept their honour intact for thousands of years — tirelessly answering the call of service wherever it may lead them.

Assigned to Legion Tactical Squads throughout the Space Marine chapters, Legionary troopers were the driving force in the Emperor’s great push to unite the galaxy under the Imperium of Man. Eliminating entire armies under coordinated fire, these disciplined warriors overcame almost every obstacle placed before them — bringing pride and glory to their Primarchs and the Emperor.
